Laura Power Vestibular physiotherapistLaura has worked within the field of Vestibular & Neurological Physiotherapy since graduating in 2010. She predominantly works with vestibular and complex neurological disorders having completed both the basic and advanced Australian Physiotherapy (APA) Vestibular Rehabilitation Courses in 2011 and 2012 respectively and the Susan Herdman Vestibular Rehabilitation Basic and Advanced Competency courses in 2013 and 2015.

She is a regular attendee of the Neuro-Otology Society of Australia (NOTSA) Conference having presented on a number of occasions. More recently, Laura has branched into the treatment of Vestibular Disorders in School-aged Children and Adolescence in 2021. She is also experienced in the assessment and treatment of Cerebellar Disorders, having worked the last 5 years towards the advancement of a novel diagnostic system for the assessment and treatment of Cerebellar Ataxia. In her time as a Research Assistant, Laura has published 7 first-author publications and co-authored 28 publications in the field of Vestibular and Cerebellar Disorders. Laura also has an interest in progressive neurological disorders such as Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s Disease. In her spare time, Laura loves to cook and spend time with her fiancee and beautiful golden cocker spaniel Murphy. 

Laura’s Physiotherapy practice predominantly focuses on complex vestibular & neurological disorders:

  • Vestibular (Dizziness & Vertigo), Falls and Balance Disorders in Adults and Adolecents (Aged 10 and up). Anyone who is having trouble with Vertigo (Spinning), Dizziness (both stationary and associated with head movement), Lightheadedness (feeling faint), fogginess, fuzziness, a “not quite right” feeling, Unsteadiness (Imbalance when walking) & Falls.
