At Brunswick Health we have 3 Naturopathic consultants, each excelling in their own fields of Naturopathic Medicine. The human body is a diverse and highly complex entity so each of our Naturopaths has concentrated in being the best in their chosen field of Natural Medicine. Their dedicated on-going post-graduate study in areas of health and wellbeing they are most passionate about, allows them to be a “master of one rather than a jack of all trades”. There will naturally be some cross-over but they work in 3 very distinctive areas of health:

Sara Canney: Gut, Detox, Immune, Stress & Anxiety

Carmen Farrugia: All things Fertility and Pregnancy

Jess Pensa: Endocrine, Thyroid and Hormonal Acne

Acne & Thyroid Naturopath

Jess Pensa

About Jess:

Our naturopath Jess Pensa is a fully qualified Naturopath with a 4-year Bachelor of Health Science degree, dedicated to finding lasting solutions to your health concerns.
Jess’s knowledge and passion resides in the area of endocrine disorders, in particular thyroid and autoimmune conditions, acne and hormonal imbalances.

She enjoys assisting her patients to achieve healthy hormonal balance while reducing fatigue, anxiety and depression.
Rather than prescribing a one-size-fits-all treatment, she focuses on individualised care for better health outcomes. She believes that in order to determine the root cause of chronic health conditions, personal factors such as lifestyle, diet and genetics must be considered.

Hormone imbalances are often the root cause of “bad skin” so patient’s who suffer from acne get surprisingly good results when they begin treatment that has a strong hormonal focus. Jess’s groundbreaking natural skin treatment protocol alleviates, controls, and improves the look and feel of skin. Conventional medical approaches often fail to get the results people hope for, and in some cases, end up worse especially after numerous antibiotic prescriptions. Jess offers natural, clean methods to get the skin you’ve always dreamed of!

Jess is able to offer a wide variety of Naturopathic testing and analysis to provide a clear and concise health picture. Jess focuses on the underlying cause of a condition and applies non-invasive and natural therapies that work in conjunction with the natural self-healing mechanisms of the body.

With Degree training in Nutritional Therapeutics, Nutritional Biochemistry and Lifestyle Nutrition, she is qualified to provide personalized Dietary Analysis and planning for realistic healthy dietary goals.

Qualified in Advanced Herbal medicine, she is able to provide a wide variety of natural therapies to provide alternative solutions to your existing treatments or to simply complement them.
Her training in Integrative Complementary Medicine has provided her with the skills to work in conjunction with your specialist and G.P. for best clinical health outcomes.
