About Carmen:

Our naturopath Carmen Farrugia is a consultant pregnancy & fertility Naturopath, midwife and registered nurse. Navigating natural and mainstream medical pregnancy and fertility services can be quiet daunting when you want the best of both worlds. Having over 25 years of experience as a registered nurse and midwife, Carmen bridges this gap giving her fertility couples a major advantage. Carmen began her career working as a midwife at the Women’s Hospital in 1992 as well as Frances Perry House.

Her focus and passion include; couples fertility, pre-pregnancy & pregnancy, IVF support, guiding couples through pre-conception, pregnancy and postnatal periods, creating positive pregnancy and childbirth experiences for women and holistic family health. Carmen also enjoys working with menstrual disorders, PCOS & menopause. She also has vast experience with anxiety and depression which are often linked to hormonal health.

Understanding that each of us is a unique individual, Carmen will thoroughly assess and investigate the factors underlying your health concerns and take into account personal goals, circumstances as well as genetics when designing treatment plans. She uses nutrition, herbal medicine, dietary planning, lifestyle adjustments, pathology testing and stress management techniques.

We are fortunate and thrilled to have a pregnancy and fertility practitioner of her calibre as she brings an exemplary standard of care that patients have come to expect at Brunswick Health.
