Hormonal Naturopathic Consultant Carmen Farrugia

Carmen Farrugia is a consultant Naturopath, midwife and registered nurse whose primary focus is to work with people who suffer from hormonal imbalances. Navigating natural and mainstream medical services can be quiet daunting when you want the best of both worlds.

Having over 28 years of experience as a registered nurse and midwife, as well as working alongside a renowned wholistic GP’s co-managing patients for the last decade, Carmen bridges this gap giving her patients a major advantage.

Carmen began her career working as a midwife at the Women’s Hospital in 1992 as well as Frances Perry House.

The vast majority of patients Carmen sees are those who suffer from menstrual disorders, PCOS, menopause and fertility issues, in short, all things hormonal in both women and men. She also has vast experience with anxiety, depression as well as skin issues which are often linked to hormonal health.

Understanding that each of us is a unique individual, Carmen will thoroughly assess and investigate the factors underlying your health concerns and take into account personal goals, circumstances as well as genetics when designing treatment plans. She uses nutrition, herbal medicine, dietary planning, pathology testing and stress management techniques.

We are fortunate and thrilled to have a hormonal practitioner of her calibre as she brings an exemplary standard of care that patients have come to expect at Brunswick Health.
