Our Physiotherapist, Jimmy Goulis was one of the attending physiotherapists at the 2004 Olympic Games in Greece. He graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney in 2000 and has since completed his Master of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. His career spans more than 17 years working with a wide range of patients, from athletes to the elderly. He is well known for his meticulous evidence-based care, resulting in optimal patient management.
Jimmy has a particular passion for managing sports and complex musculoskeletal conditions and injuries. He has a special interest in tendon injuries and running analysis with strong skills in biomechanical assessment. He is also currently undertaking a research project on patients with Achilles tendinopathies.
Working in the field of physiotherapy for almost two decades, Jimmy has strong relationships with orthopaedic surgeons, sport medicine doctors and running clubs in the inner north of Melbourne.
As an avid marathon runner himself, he understands the importance of proactive injury management.
Jimmy uses targeted manual therapy and comprehensive rehabilitation strategies to achieve optimal results for patients. His rehabilitation philosophy is to treat the cause of the current problem, not just the symptoms, to improve strength and resilience and reduce the likelihood of recurrence.
Away from work Jimmy enjoys running, playing the guitar and a well-made cappuccino!
