Do I need a referral?
No — you don’t need a referral to see a chiropractor. You can book directly with us. If you have a specific medical condition or are being managed under a GP care plan (e.g. an Enhanced Primary Care/Chronic Disease Management plan for Medicare rebates), your GP may provide a referral to support that plan, but it isn’t required to make an appointment with us.
Is chiropractic care right for my pain?
Chiropractic care can help with a wide range of pain, including back pain, neck pain, sciatica, headaches, and joint or postural pain. Because everyone’s pain has different causes, we start every new patient with a thorough assessment to understand what’s driving your symptoms and confirm chiropractic is the right fit — if it’s not, we’ll tell you and point you toward what will help. What if I’m nervous?
That’s completely normal, and you’re not alone — many of our patients feel nervous before their first visit. We take the time to explain what we’re doing and why at every step, so you always know what to expect. You’re in control the whole time: if something doesn’t feel right, we stop. Our goal is for you to leave feeling more comfortable than when you arrived, not less.

Yes — Brunswick Health has HICAPS, so you can claim on the spot with your health fund card. You’ll only need to pay the gap amount on the day, depending on your level of cover.
